Pamela Young talks with Martijn Wilder, Co-Founder and CEO of Pollination Group, a global climate change and investment firm headquartered in Australia.
Martijn established Pollination late in 2019: despite the challenges of the pandemic he has grown the firm to over 200 people from Sydney and Melbourne, to London, Washington and Chicago in just 4 years! Following 20 years as Head of Baker McKenzie's global climate law and finance practice this corporate-man-turned-entrepreneur is now taking global clients from discovering the impact of their business on nature, to financing projects that reduce emission, get them closer to net zero and positively impact the environment. In this video, we discuss the varied adoption of climate and sustainability policy and practice over the past 25-years, the commitment and progress of countries and companies and what you can do to meet your goals faster. Can you afford not to hear his sanguine advice? Pamela Young talks with Brett O'Riley, CEO of the Employers and Manufacturers Association of New Zealand
Brett is also a Member of the APEC Business Advisory Council and an Advisor, Tata Consultancy Services, New Zealand. His early career was in technology, mobile and networks and he brings deep experience in international business and exporting. In this video Brett talks about New Zealand business with Asia and Australia; the differences between Australian and New Zealand business culture, the 'dimensions of the New Zealand economy not obvious to the outsiders'; how 'being small is New Zealand's superpower'; that there is an 'innovation intensity in the New Zealand start-up community' and how 'vital normalising the gig economy is' to future growth and survival. |
